How educational leaders might use blogs

Blogs can be very useful in the educational setting. The main purpose of blogs are to share news and insights with others. Educational leaders can use blogs to share news about what is going on in their school as well as to gain feedback and response from others. As future leaders we must be prepared to practice lifelong learning. Using blogs can help us to achieve that very goal by providing us with another means to collaborate with one anoher and learn from them. Not only can we learn from others but most importantly our blogs can provide lots of support for our readers. In action research, one identifies a problem by posing questions, reviewing literature, and working to make a change. The last major step is to share results with others. What better way to share results and findings of your action research than by using blogs? Overall, blogging is a very useful tool that educational leaders can use to further their practice and engage in meaningful reflection.
